Bamboo is a plant which grows quite fast (its growth is one of the fastest in the world) and thus allows an important use without endangering the ecosystem. It can be presented varnished or natural and offers a good resistance as well as a very good flexibility. It is even more resistant than oak flooring (until 30 % harder) and it dilates or narrows twice less. It is also warmer than wood to the touch and it resists molds very well. Finally, the ecological balance of this material is excellent.
This material’s durability is indisputable. There is no risk of having to replace it after four or five years, as a floating parquet floor.
Bamboo is available from 15 Euros the square meter. Its price varies however quite much and can go up to 50 Euros the square meter according to the flooring type.
