Linoleum

LinoleumTrue linoleum is a green product: it mainly consists in linen oil, wood flour, cork, natural resins, minerals and pigments. These products are mixed to form a dough which will then be squeezed in hessian (for true linoleum, otherwise it often is a polyester medium). Both its manufacturing and its installation are green and linoleum shows numerous advantages.

It is hard-wearing (adapted to places with strong passage), stain and fire resistant and it also resists cigarette burns. It can last about fifty years, only if it is waxed about every five years with a specific resin. Finally, its upkeep is convenient and easy.

True linoleum is available from 20 Euros the square meter but its price can easily climb up to 60 Euros the square meter.
