Cellulose wadding is made of recycled newsprint fibers and is a product of choice in insulation since it is easy to implement (it can be projected on walls in wet form, injected, or posed as semi-rigid panels).
The estimated cost of production of this "wool” is of 30 to 50 times lower than that of conventional glass wool, for an equivalent insulating effect. Only 4 cm thick more than glass wool are required for cellulose wadding to achieve optimal performance.
Despite the fact that it is mostly made of paper, it is fireproof and does not contain residues of toxic ink or lead. Its price is on average 4 times lower than that of mineral wool.
